  • Director

    Coach Max Auguste - Max Auguste has been an outstanding player and teacher of the game for over 20 years. He is a former player and captain of the St. Lucia National Team, earning numerous awards including, St. Lucia National Volleyball Player of the year in 1995. Max played on an athletic scholarship for the Queens College Knights where he achieved, Most Outstanding Freshman, Most Valuable Player, and Scholar Athlete award among his collegiate accolades. He was also named to the All East Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) All East second team in 2001. Max is also, a former outside hitter for Creole Volleyball Club which participates in various local, regional and national tournaments including, the U.S. Open Volleyball Championships.

    Max coached at St. John’s University, as Assistant Coach and Video Coordinator, where he provided crucial game analysis to booster the Red Storm’s performance in the Big East Conference.

    Max also conducts coaches clinics to CYO, Middle School, High School and junior club volleyball coaches’ with the mission to have them teach the leading-edge techniques of the game in a fun environment, consistent to USA Volleyball Standards. Max is also the director of Fundamental Volleyball which calls LuHi it’s home for team practices and individual training.

    Max earned two degrees while at Queens College – a bachelor’s degree in Economics and master’s degree in Social Science, and also earned a prestigious award for Most Outstanding Thesis Research. Max is also a USA Volleyball CAP I Certified Instructor.

  • Program Description

    Under the direction of Coach Auguste, an outstanding coaching staff comprised of USA Volleyball club coaches, current and former collegiate players, as well as certified P.E. teachers who are current high school coaches, offers all girls and boys complete instruction, according to ability level, in the fundamentals and finer points of Power Volleyball. The program includes individual skills development, team strategy and competition all taught through drills, scrimmages, and competitive inter- and intra-squad games. If a student wishes to learn new skills or hone the skills they already have to be able to play on high school or USA Volleyball club teams, this program will help them along.
