  • Session I - July 1 through July 12 (Closed July 4th)

    Co-ed entering grades 1 through 4.
  • Tuition

    $1275 per Session. Includes Red Cross Swim Instruction and afternoon snack. Lunch is available for an additional $75 per session.
    $1175 for Session 1. Lunch for session 1 - $67.50.
  • Director

    Jason D. Rivera. Coach Rivera is an elementary teacher in the Brentwood School District with over 15 years experience educating children. He is the former Head Wrestling Coach at Brentwood West Middle School and former JV9 Assistant Coach at Brentwood High School. Coach Rivera has also coached and organized a variety of other youth sports and activities. He is entering his 20th year as part of the LuHi Rookie School Staff. Coach Rivera is an outstanding educator, an enthusiastic leader, and a wonderful motivator of young children.
  • Program Description

    The Rookie School is a co-ed program designed specifically for girls and boys entering grades 1 – 4 who love, or would like to learn more about playing sports. Young athletes are introduced to the key fundamental skills in a variety of team and individual sports including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, floor hockey, lacrosse, golf, tennis, and Ultimate Gaga. A strong emphasis is placed on having fun, developing team camaraderie, learning the rules, learning to be coached, and improving hand-eye coordination and motor skills. Basic skills are taught and reinforced in drills, game situations, and full game action. Team play, friendly competition, sportsmanship, patience, self-control and respect for the rules and for each other will be stressed.
