$1250 per session. Includes swim and afternoon snack. Lunch is available for an additional $75 per session.
Jason D. Rivera. Coach Rivera is an elementary teacher in the Brentwood School District with over 16 years experience educating children. He is the former Head Wrestling Coach at Brentwood West Middle School and former JV Assistant Coach at Brentwood High School. Coach Rivera has also coached and organized a variety of other youth sports and activities. He is entering his 21st year as part of the LuHi Rookie School Staff. Coach Rivera is an outstanding educator, an enthusiastic leader, and a wonderful motivator of young children.
The Advanced Rookie Program is designed specifically for Intermediate grade (5th & 6th) level athletes who are enthusiastic about playing and learning more about sports. Young athletes are introduced to advanced skills in a variety of team sports, where one sport, in particular, is the focus of each day. These sports include baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and lacrosse. The program also includes participation in individual sports including Ultimate Gaga and golf. There is a strong emphasis placed on having fun, maintaining team camaraderie, following rules, listening and learning from coaches while fine tuning motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Stretching and warm-up activities, along with skills and drills are covered each morning. Game situations and full-game action is the focus of the afternoon activities each day. Advanced Rookies will also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of off-campus excursions including but not limited to; batting cages, Indoor Ultimate Gaga, and Sporttime Multisport.
