    Mrs. Jackie Flynn - Mrs. Flynn is the director of the summer program at Long Island Lutheran Day School.  She teaches fourth grade during the year at LuDay and has a passion for teaching and leading.  When Mrs. Flynn is not busy teaching, she enjoys going to church, playing sports, singing, and spending time with friends and family.

    Description: A program for children who are interested in meeting new friends and exploring new worlds. Our Three year old, Pre-K, and Kindergarten programs are centered on discovery, movement, and “hands on” activities that are essential elements for learning in young children. Our program is a balance between active involvements, periods of free play and structured activities. Children are grouped according to grade level and will rotate through structured activities such as art class, playground activities and music time.

    "Next Generation" G.I.F.T.

    Description: This program is a sampler of various age appropriate activities that follows a daily schedule. This program is packed with teacher directed activities, including group games, science lessons/experiments and academic enrichment. Activities are used to enhance social, physical and intellectual well-being.

    Description: The Rookie School is designed specifically for boys and girls entering grades 2 – 6 who love, or would like to learn more about playing sports. Young athletes are introduced to the key fundamental skills in a variety of team and individual sports including baseball, basketball, football, soccer, floor hockey, lacrosse, golf, tennis, etc. A strong emphasis is placed on having fun, developing team camaraderie, learning the rules, learning to be coached, and improving hand-eye coordination using motor skills through drills and games. Team play, friendly competition, sportsmanship, patience, self-control and respect for the rules and for each other will be stressed.

    Helping Hands

    Description: The Helping Hands program is designed for middle school aged children to develop a sense of responsibility as they enjoy their summer alongside younger campers. They will help the teachers throughout the day with various tasks and overall, promote the LuDay Summer Program experience through fun, play and a positive attitude.
