Funtastics

Session Dates

  • Session I - June 25 through July 6 (Closed July 4th)
  • Session II - July 9 through July 20
  • Session III - July 23 through August 3
  • Session IV - August 6 through 17

  • Age Level

    Girls and boys entering grades K through 6.
  • Tuition

    $1250 per Session. Includes Red Cross Swim Instruction and afternoon snack. Lunch is available for an additional $75 per session.
    $1150 for Session 1. Lunch for session 1 - $67.50.
  • Director

    Denise Keltos. Mrs. Keltos is an elementary educator. She is entering her 18th year as Director of the LuHi Funtastics! Program and heads an outstanding staff dedicated to giving every child in the program a rewarding and fun-filled summer experience.
  • Director, Learn to Swim Program

    Mary White. Ms. White is a certified Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, a Varsity Swim Coach at Sacred Heart, and has been the Pool Director at LuHi for the past 27 years.
  • Staff

    Our Funtastics! Staff is made up of individuals who thoroughly enjoy working with children. Experienced administrators, teachers, education majors, and former “Counselors in Training” return each summer to make the Funtastics! Program staff highly experienced. Each specific group is staffed with individuals who possess qualities that would be beneficial to that age level. Having a supportive, sensitive, well-qualified staff is the trademark of the LuHi Funtastics! Program.
  • Program Description

    Children in grades 1 through 6 are grouped by gender and grade level. Our Kindergarten group is a co-ed group that is staffed with additional supervision. Each group follows an age-appropriate daily schedule packed with activities such as those listed below, along with our Learn-to-Swim program.

    Enjoyable, educational programs are brought on campus for our younger students. We provide a variety of onsite programs for our Kindergartners. Older campers are treated to supervised off-campus field trips that have included bowling, laser tag, and more! We are always adding new activities and growing to present the best program possible! Programs brought on campus include: BMX Stunt Shows by Dialed Action Sports, iGame4, Magic by David Levitan, Animal Adventures hosted by Nature Nick. K, 1&2 campers are visited by coaches from "Soccer Shots" to work on the fundamentals of soccer.

Special Theme Day Events

The Funtastics program has Theme Days each week. (ie Super Hero Day, Crazy Hat Day).
