Christopher Theodorellis. Mr. Theodorellis is a teacher in the Huntington School District. He has been fishing the Long Island waters for over 30 years and has been an instructor for the LuHi Fishing program for 11 years. This is his 6th year as the Director of the program. He is an outstanding educator and avid outdoorsman with over 15 years of experience in teaching and young people.
Designed for the child who enjoys fishing and being on the water, this program is the first of its kind in the Long Island area. The purpose of the Fishing School is to expose children to experiences which will broaden their understanding in three key areas: fishing, boating, and environmental conservation. Under the direction of Mr. Theodorellis and an outstanding staff, the following topics will be covered: casting instruction, environmental conservation, knot tying, catch and release techniques, fish specific strategies, boating safety, reel maintenance, and life on the water as well as hands on instruction from Causeway Bait & Tackle.
Note: One trip each session may require an 8am drop off.
