The LuHi Schoool of Dance consists of classes in the techniques of Ballet, Modern, and Jazz/Hip-Hop. Students are grouped by age and ability. Experience is not necessary. Classes are held in the fully air-conditioned Performing Arts Center and the Dance Studio. Dancers will learn at least four pieces of choreography from our staff; which consists of experienced dance teachers and NYC professionals. This program also features a live performance from a professional NYC dance company. There will be a performance at the end of the session and all family and friends are welcome to attend.
Session 3 - Includes a program for boys. Boys dance will include Hip-Hop, Tap, Breakdance and Capoeira (a Brazilian art form which combines non-contact fight moves, dance, rhythm and movement).
Our entire staff consists of experienced dance teachers and NYC professionals. Their expertise in teaching and developing routines and encouraging an outstanding work ethic comes from their own passion for performing. As role models for their students, their goal is to provide a fun-filled learning environment for every girl in the program.
Each dance session will have a different theme with original choreography.
